    [10] TERRORISTS KILL A VILLAGER IN TOKAT

    TOKAT - Terrorists killed a villager in rural area in northern province of Tokat. Sources told the A.A correspondent on Tuesday that Muharrem Hiz was abducted from Sircali village by a group of members of terrorist Turkish Communist Party-Marxist and Leninist-Turkish Workers and Peasant Liberation Army (TKP-ML TIKKO). Security forces launched an operation after Hiz's relatives informed them on his abduction. His body was recovered by security forces in rural area near Sircali village. Operations are under way in the region. (UK-SC)

    ANKARA - State Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Devlet Bahceli, who also acts as the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), said on Tuesday that, ''if there are any acquisitions obtained in Turkey-EU relations, and if there are any steps taken, this is the success of Turkish nation and state.'' Bahceli said, ''if there is any mistake or failure, this belongs to the parties which undertook authority and responsibility.''

    TRABZON - Turkey has exported 234 thousand 269 tonnes of hazelnuts and obtained an income of 582 million 947 thousand U.S. dollars since September 1, 2001, the beginning of 2001-2002 hazelnut export season.
