Yet the question ''did you sent us extradition file of Ocalan to us?'' which was added to the message, created excitement in Ankara. An official made the evaluation ''if Ocalan was not there, they would not request for the extradition file.'' OTTOMAN EXHIBITION IN PARIS MILLIYET (LIBERAL)HEAVY BLOW ON HEZBOLLAHA total of 18 members of illegal Hezboullah organization were captured in operations launched by security forces in Southern Antalya province, on Friday. Antalya police noted that acting on a tip-off, they captured the members of the Hezboullah organization who were making propaganda in favour of the organization in eight mosques in Antalya. Members of the illegal Hezboullah organization were taken into custody. SABAH (LIBERAL)URGENT APO FILE TO RUSSIAThe response given by Russia to the message of Turkey sent on February 9 through Interpol saying ''Ocalan is in your country'', exploded like a bomb in Ankara. The response wanted ''Apo's extradition file''. The message was evaluated as ''the evidence that Apo is in Russia and the first step for the arrest of Apo.'' FINANCIAL DAMAGE OF TORNADO AT THE DALAMAN AIRPORT CUMHURIYET (LEFT)INCIRLIK TENSION IN ANKARAPrime Minister Bulent Ecevit replied warnings of the U.S. and stressed that the concerns regarding Turkey visit of Tariq Aziz, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, have not realistic grounds. Ecevit pointed out, ''those who expressed concern over Aziz'z visit to Turkey, will see how their worries are unneccesary. Tornado also caused financial damage of 2 trillion Turkish Liras at the airport. TÜRKİYE (RIGHT)OKTAY AND SIMSEK RESIGN FROM CHPSeyfi Oktay, the Deputy from Ankara and Yahya Simsek, the Deputy from Bursa, resigned from Republican Peoples' Party (CHP). Oktay and Simsek said in a joint news conference in the Parliament that they resigned because CHP administration failed to have solution proposals that will make the regime relieve since 1995 elections. SIGNIFICANT MEETING AT PRIME MINISTRY EDWARD KENNEDY: ''OCALAN SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO JUSTICE'' [02] PROFILE OF EXPORTS FROM GAP REGION - 3.3 MILLION U.S. DOLLARS OF DRIED FRUITS EXPORTED SINCE JANUARY 1, 1999GAZIANTEP, Feb 13 (A.A) - The exports of dried-fruit products from the Southeastern Anatolia Project (GAP) region since January 1, 1999 decreased 19.5 percent to 3 million 342 thousand U.S. dollars, it was reported on Saturday.In the same period last year, the region exported 4 million 153 thousand U.S. dollars of dried-fruit products. Abdulkadir Cikmaz, the Chairman of the Southeastern Anatolia Exporters' Union, told the correspondent that in the first month of the year, they exported 221 thousand U.S. dollars in pistachio; 2 million 493 thousand U.S. dollars in dried apricot; 435 thousand U.S. dollars in pine nut and 193 thousand U.S. dollars in other products. He added that the majority of the goods were exported to the U.S. France, Britain, Germany, Israel, Canada, Italy, Syria, Romania and Greece. [03] GUNES, FORMER DEP DEPUTY, ARRESTEDANKARA, Feb 13 (A.A) - Naif Gunes, former deputy of the closed Democracy Party (DEP), who was arrested by the State Security Court (DGM) said on Friday that he did not adopt views and policy of the separatist terrorist organization and that he did not participate in meetings of the so-called ''kurdish parliament.''Naif Gunes, interrogated in Struggle Against Terrorism Department, said he had gone to Germany after leaving Turkey adding that they have opened an office together with Zubeyir Aydar, Remzi Kartal, Mahmut Kilinc, Ali Yigit and Nizamettin Toguc, all former deputies of DEP. Speaking about so-called ''kurdish parliament'' and its so-called speaker Yasar Kaya, Gunes said political difference came out between him and those people. Gunes noted that he did not want to be included in this illegal formation. Gunes said he did not meet with the chief of the separatist terrorist organization adding that he did not approve of the policy and views of Ocalan or the policy of the separatist terrorist organization. Gunes said he could not adapt to Europe and decided to return to Turkey after consulting to his friends who were all former deputies. [04] TURKMAN DELEGATION VISITS AKTAS, ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES MINISTERANKARA, Feb 13 (A.A) - Yolli Gurbanmuradov, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkman Council of Ministers, Ahmet Calik, the Turkman Deputy Minister of Textile, and Nur Mohamed Hanamov, the Turkman Ambassador, visited on Friday Ziya Aktas, Energy and Natural Resources Minister. The Energy and Natural Resources Ministry issued a statement saying that the members of the Turkman delegation congratulated Ziya Aktas who was charged in the 56th Government.The Turkman delegation also thanked President Suleyman Demirel, Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit and Aktas who have approved the election of new leader of the consortium of the Turkmenistan-Turkey natural gas pipeline project. During the meeting, Turkman delegation and Aktas evaluated the activities regarding the agreement envisaging natural gas pipeline, and have reached a concensus of opinion in order to accelerate the works. [05] EVALUATION MEETING IN PREMIERSHIPANKARA, Feb 13 (A.A) - Turkey's policy towards the Middle East and Iraq was evaluated in a meeting held in Premiership building before the visit of Tariq Aziz, Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister, who is scheduled to come to Turkey upon the invitation of Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit.Foreign Minister Ismail Cem, Korkmaz Haktanir, Foreign Ministry Undersecretary, Ugur Ziyal, Deputy Undersecretary, General Yasar Buyukanit, the Advisor of the Prime Ministry for Military Issues, were also in attendance at the meeting. Foreign Minister Ismail Cem, speaking after the meeting said they have made a general evaluation. [06] ''JURIDICAL RELATIONS BETWEEN TURKEY AND TRNC'' SYMPOSIUM ENDSANKARA, Feb 13 (A.A) - The symposium titled ''Juridical Relations between Turkey and Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)'', jointly staged by Justice Ministry and Cyprus Turk Development Platform, and which Foreign Ministry contributed, ended on Friday.Jurists and representatives of related institutions participated in the symposium which lasted for two days. The statement issued after the end of symposium included several determinations and proposals related with several problems between the two countries in the field of legal relations. The statement pointed out that problems which erupted in the implementation stemmed from the insufficiency of the agreement of ''Juridical Mutual Aid on Legal, Trade and Penal Issues, Recognition, Extradition of Criminals and Transfer of Convicts'' dated December 25, 1987. The statement also pointed out that failure to carry out bureacratic process as required may also pave ways to the problems in question and noted the proposal to establish joint commissions to determine the problems and the solutions. [07] DASKYLEION EXCAVATION - PROF. DR. BAKIR: - ''WE FOUND A HISTORICAL CENTER AS FAMOUS AS TROY''BANDIRMA, Feb 13 (A.A) - Archaelogical excavations in the ancient Daskyleion city near Ergili Village in Bandirma County in Balikesir Province in Marmara Region which started 11 years ago, continue, it was reported on Saturday.Prof. Dr. Tomris Bakir, the Chairperson of the Excavation Group, said that they have brought a number of significant historical works to light during the excavations. Stressing that the excavations have revealed the unknown details about the daily life in the Southern parts of Marmara region which was named as ''Propontis'' then, in ancient times, Prof. Dr. Bakir pointed out that tribes migrated from the Balkans to the region in B.C. 2000s had established many cities around the Manyas Lake. Prof. Dr. Bakir underlined that the Daskyleion Excavations have begun to attract attention of the foreign archaelogists, adding that the Italian National Science-Research Council had organized a symposium on an ancient inscription which was found in Daskyleion. [08] ZULFIKAROV, AZERI FOREIGN MINISTER, DUE IN TURKEY ON 15 FEBRUARYANKARA, Feb 13 (A.A) - Tevfik Zulfikarov, Azeri Foreign Minister, will pay an official visit to Turkey as the guest of his Turkish counterpart Ismail Cem, between February 15 and 17, it was reported on Saturday.The Foreign Ministry issued a statement saying that Zulfikarov's visit to Turkey will create the opportunity of further improving the friendly relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Zulfikarov is scheduled to meet with senior officials from the Foreign Ministry. He will be also received by President Suleyman Demirel, Hikmet Cetin, the Speaker of Parliament, and Prime Minister Bulent Ecevit during his official visit. His meetings are expected to focus on the bilateral relations as well as the latest developments in solution process for Nagorno-Karabakh question. Issue of Baku-Ceyhan oil pipeline project will also be brought into the agenda of the meetings. A.A
