VISIT BY THE PRESIDENT OF ALBANIA, MR. SALI BERISHA, TO NATO ON 12 OCTOBER 1995

INFORMATION

The President of Albania, Mr. Sali Berisha, will come to NATO Headquarters on 12 October 1995 to meet the Secretary General, Mr. Willy Claes, and the North Atlantic Council. The visit will begin at 9:30. President Berisha's departure is expected at 11:30.

MEDIA ADVISORY (not for publication) PROGRAMME OF THE VISIT

9:30 - NATO main entrance. Arrival of President Berisha. Open coverage on a first-come, first-served basis.

9:35 - Bilateral meeting with the Secretary General in the Private Office. In view of the limited space available, only a restricted pool will be authorized to cover the beginning of the meeting.

10:15 - Room 1: North Atlantic Council Session. Introductory remarks by the Secretary General and the Dean of the North Atlantic Council, followed by reply by President Berisha. Coverage within the conference room by a restricted pool.

11:15 - NATO main entrance. Meeting with the press. Departure of the President of Albania at about 11:30.

ACCREDITATION Journalists wishing to cover the visit of the President of Albania will be allowed into the NATO premises on presentation of a NATO accreditation pass or a valid press pass. Photographers and cameramen wishing to be part of the Restricted Pool should contact Mr. N. Fiorenza.

INFORMATION

Le President de l'Albanie, M. Sali Berisha, viendra au siege de l'OTAN le jeudi 12 octobre 1995 pour rencontrer le Secretaire general, M. Willy Claes, et le Conseil de l'Atlantique Nord. Le depart du President Berisha est prevu pour 11h30.

PROGRAMME DE LA VISITE

9h30 - Entree principale de l'OTAN. Arrivee du President Berisha. Couverture non restreinte, suivant l'ordre d'arrivee.

9h35 - Entretien bilateral avec le Secretaire general au Cabinet. Faute de place, seul un groupe restreint sera autorise a couvrir le debut de la rencontre.

10h15 - Salle 1 : Reunion du Conseil de l'Atlantique Nord. Allocution du Secretaire general et du Doyen du Conseil de l'Atlantique Nord, suivie du discours de M. Berisha. Couverture dans la salle par un groupe restreint.

11h15 - Entree principale de l'OTAN. Recontre avec les representants des medias. Depart du President de l'Albanie vers 11h30.

ACCREDITATION

Les journalistes souhaitant couvrir la visite du President albanais seront admis au site de l'OTAN sur presentation d'une carte d'accreditation OTAN ou d'une carte de presse en cours de validite. Les photographes et les cadreurs souhaitant participer au groupe restreint devront contacter M. N. Fiorenza.
