Requirement: Ph.D. in Agriculture, Horticulture or Food Science. Excellent Greek and English. Deadline: 31/8/97. Department of Environment and Renewable Resources Researcher in Geographic Information System / Remote Sensing (GIS/RS), to participate in a European Union project with goal to create and then to integrate vegetation information models with advanced methods of land analysis (to be applied in Mediterranean drylands). The appointment will be for 3 years. Qualifications involve a Ph.D. and working knowledge on management of Natural resources using GIS/RS. Additional knowledge on Multivariate Statistical Analyses and Modeling approaches will be seriously taken into account. Some administrative work will be required. Support Scientist Position (Master of Science level); to participate in a European Union project aiming at studying the practices that Mediterranean islands currently employ regarding management of forest areas and of wildland heritage (2 year appointment). The work will involve coordination with local authorities and with managers of natural resources as well as International travel. Department of Economics and Management Sciences Operation Research (OR) and Management Information System (MIS) Researcher, to actively participate in a European Union funded project aiming to develop an Integrated knowledge based Decision Support System. Qualifications: A Ph.D. in this field is preferable, MBA holders will be considered as well. Experience is necessary in user interface, model base, data base and knowledge base module development.
