Please note that the Greek Institute of Cambridge will present Euripides' play HYPSIPYLE on December 3rd at the The Stuard Street Playhouse, 200 Stuart Street in Boston, at 7:30pm. STUDENT ADMISSION IS $20. Tickets are available at The Greek Institute, 1038 Mass Ave. Call 617-547-4770.

HYPSIPYLE was performed at the ancient theater of Dionysos in 408 B.C. It had been copied on papyrus in 200 A.D. This was discoveredin fragments in 1906. A century of scholarship and research has culminated in the reconstruction and translation into modern Greek of HYPSIPYLE by Tassos Roussos, noted Greek poet playwright and translator.

The Greek Institute will present a staged reading of HYPSIPYLE in an English translation by Athan Anagnostopoulos, directed by William Lacey and performed by leading Boston professional actors. This will be a beautiful and historic event! Please come!!
