The ceremony for the official opening of the University of Manitoba Centre for Hellenic Civilization will take place at 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 7 1999 at the Great Hall of University College, the University of Manitoba. The ceremony will include speeches by Mr. John Thomoglou, Ambassador of Greece to Canada, by representatives of the government of Canada and the government of Manitoba, and a public lecture by Prof. Michael Cosmopoulos, Director of the Centre.
