The Union of Hellenic Student Societies in the U.K. (E.E.F.K.ME.B) would like to inform you on the final arrangements concerning Parthenon Day. Parthenon Day will take place on Friday 5th December 1997. It is divided into the following sections:

* Demonstration outside the British Museum and British embassies worldwide. The programme for the demonstration in London is as follows: 15:00 Meet at Montague Place (at the rear of the British Museum) 15:15 March through Bloomsbury Street and Great Russell Street 15:40 Arrive at British Museum 15:50 Hand in Petition to the British Museum 16:00 Continue March through the following roads: Great Russell Street, Bloomsbury place, and Bloomsbury Sq. 16:15 Arrive at Bloomsbury Sq.

* Debate discussions organised by the Union of Hellenic Student Societies in U.K. The Restitution of the Parthenon Marbles A Debate Discussion Time: 16:30 19:00 Venue: The Royal National Hotel Function Room: Edward VII Bedford Way, Russell Square, London WC1. Speakers: * Mr. Steward, Channel 4 Parthenon Marbles Program Reporter. * Mr. Stelios Papathemelis, Former Greek Minister, Greek MP.

The Union has informed the British Museum and has asked for a representative to take part in this debate discussion.

NAMES MAY CHANGE AS OTHERS CAN BE ADDED

* A mass emailing to: The British government, The Labour Party, The British Museum, and the British embassy in Athens asking the British and Greek governments to enter negotiations to decide on a timetable for the return of the Parthenon Marbles.

* A Parthenon Day Web Site is available at www.parthenonday.org This initiative is supported by a number of Hellenic and Philhellenic organisations and institutions worldwide.
