Developments and Prospects The Lecture will be given in Greek April 3, 1997 at 7:00pm 2201 G Street NW {FUNGER HALL Room #108} George Washington University Yiannis Marinos received his law degree from the University of Athens and started journalism while still being a student at the age of 20. He is the consulting publisher of the Greek magazine Oikonomikos Taxudromos and of the Greek newspaper To BHMA. He is a regular member of the Union of Daily Newspaper Editors of Athens, the International Association of Journalists , the European Union Press Association and the International Press Institute. Since 1994 and for three years, he has been selected by the European Union Committee as a prominent member (the only one from Greeece) of the Consulting Committee of Information Users. Among the many awards he has received, Yiannis Marinos has been the first Greek journalist to receive a European Union Press Association award on February 1990 for his efforts to promote the European Union idea in Greece.
