The Hellenic Society of Constantinopole in coopoeration with the chairman of the Byzantine Studies prof. Psomiades of Queens College, will have a lecture that will be given by the author of the book "The Miracle - a true story" the Costantinopolitan Mr. Leonidas Koumakis, who traces the history of the harsh Turkish policies toward the Hellenes the past 100 years. This lecture will be held at the Cultural Center of the Holy Archdiocese at 27-09 Crescent str., Astoria, NY (corner of Crescent str. and Newtown Rd.) on Friday February 14, 1997 at 7:00 p.m. (Tel.: (718) 626-5111)

The afore mentioned book was translated into English and was distributed to all the members of U.S. Congress and Senate, as well as to all the members of the houses of parliament of Europe, Britain, France, Canada, and Australia.

As you realize this book exposes the true face of the harsh Turkish policies toward the Hellenes and makes them known to the whole world, it is our duty to attend this lecture and book presentation.

Admission to this presentation is free. Coffee and cookies will be served after the lecture.
