MGSA Symposium '95 -- Update and Costs

The Modern Greek Studies Association Symposium begins this Thursday,
November 2nd and runs till Sunday, November 5th at Harvard University.
Registration and panels will begin at 3 p.m. on Thursday and registration will
take place, as will most of the panels, in Emerson Hall, Harvard Yard. The
keynote address by Nicos Mouzelis--which is also this
year's Nicholas E. Christopher Memorial Lecture--will be at 6 p.m. on
Thursday at the Geological Lecture Hall, in the Peabody Museum (enter
through 24 Oxford Street). All are welcome to the reception that will
follow the lecture. For more detailed information on the ninety papers,
the screening of the film Lefteris Dimakopoulos, the meeting of the Greek
Font Society, a Greek-American poetry reading, and a slide show by
Greek-American photographer Constantine Manos, consult

The lecture by Nicos Mouzelis (L.S.E.), the Tenth Christopher Memorial
Lecture sponsored by the George Seferis Chair, is free and open to the
public. Professor Mouzelis's title is "The Concept of Modernization: Its
Relevance for Greece."
