On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the XVIIth International Complement Workshop to be held at the Rodos Palace Congress Center in the island of Rhodes, Greece, October 11-16, 1998.

The deadline for receipt of abstracts, early registration is June 1, 1998. All submitted abstracts will be presented either orally or as posters at the meeting and all will be included in the abstracts volume, which will be published as a supplement to "Molecular Immunology". If you plan to participate, please fill out the form below and return it by mail or FAX. If you would like to submit this information electronically, which is the organizers' preferred method, please visit our web site (http://www.complement.org) to do so.

Registration materials will be sent initially only to people who respond to this announcement. For your convenience and to expedite the communication process, registration materials, including abstract and hotel reservation forms will be also available on the web site for downloading, beginning February 15. Information on Rhodes, travel to Greece, hotel accommodations, tours, etc. is already available on the web site.

If you plan to attend the XVIIth ICW and wish to travel from Athens to Rhodes by plane, we strongly suggest that you make early flight reservations. Although there are several Athens-Rhodes flights daily, it is anticipated that for reasons unrelated to the ICW demand during those dates will be increased.

Please note, that a symposium on Complement Deficiencies has been scheduled for the morning of October 11, 1998. The symposium will be part of the program of the VIII Meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies, which will be held in the same venue immediately preceding the XVIIth ICW. Registered ICW participants can attend the symposium without any additional registration, but they will need to arrive in Rhodes on October 10th or before.
