[01] A 10% DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO MAIN POLITICAL PARTIES

The difference between the two main political parties in Greece, the
governing party of New Democracy and the main opposition party of
PASOK, is about 10 percentage points, according to the exit polls'
results presented by the country's television channels.
According to the state-run television exit polls, New Democracy will
get 43% of the votes with a minus-plus variation of 1.5%, PASOK will
get 33% with a minus-plus variation of 1.5%, the Communist Party will
receive 9.2% of the votes with a minus-plus variation of 0.8%,
Coalition of the Left 4.8% with a minus-plus variation of 0.8% and LAOS
3.5% with a minus-plus variation of 0.5%.
It is predicted that New Democracy will elect 11 Euro-deputies, PASOK
8, the Communist Party 2, Coalition of the Left 1 and LAOS also 1
Euro-deputy.
