[01] INVITATION TO A DIALOGUE

The proposals of the government for changes in the electoral law will be announced by Prime Minister Costas Simitis, after the meeting of the governmental committee. Self-reliance at 41%, representation at 85%, the new division of the electoral districts will also be discussed. All proposals of MPs and PASOK officials will be utilized stated Government Spokesperson Christos Protopapas, commenting on Mr. Pagalos' proposals for 200 single seat districts. During their meeting the two Foreign Ministers discussed the Cyprus issue, the Intergovernmental Committee for the Constitution of the EU, the further enlargement of the EU, the Balkans and the Middle East. Mr. Fratini also signed the distinguished personalities' declaration on the Olympic Truce.
