The Prime Minister also announced that the armed forces along the borders with Albania will be reinforced to stop the wave of illegal immigrants trying to enter Greece, while he stated that the Greek minority should stay in Albania in order to preserve its rights. In the speech delivered in Ioannina, mr.Simitis also stated that the infrastructure projects in the region, which started in 1994, will be completed in the year 2000 and are estimated to cost 700 billion drachmas. He also pointed out that no mutual assistance clause was established to be in effect in case an EU member-state has problems and added that the EU should offer assistance to its member-states on issues of foreign policy problems with third countries. They are expected to be in FYROM on June 17 and on June 23 will be in Thessaloniki. According to the poll, the ultra-right National Front Party will win 2 seats in the French Parliament.
