[05] GREEK HUMANITARIAN AID BUS TO BULGARIA STOLEN IN ASPARUJOVOWeb Posted: 20:52 GMT+2Sofia, March 10 (MPA)A Greek bus, part of a Greek humanitarian aid convoy to Bulgaria, was stolen on Saturday night from the Bulgarian city of Asparujovo.The disappeared bus was destined for the city of Varna, headed by a delegation from Greece's city of Kiato, among them Kiato's Mayor George Yiannopoulos. The Bulgarian daily "Trud" reported on the event with a first-page article, where it wrote that perhaps the Bulgarian authorities should advise those who send aid to Bulgaria to do so with air drops. Meanwhile, the Greek municipality of Kavala has sent four-and-a-half tonnes of frozen sardines to Sofia, where they will be distributed to the city's poorest citizens. Also, the Greek Armed forces have forwarded large amounts of humanitarian aid to Bulgaria. The President of the Assembly Kyriakos Hatzaras relayed a message by Greece's President Kostis Stephanopoulos while Greek Euro-deputy Nikos Papakyriazis relayed a message from the President of the European Parliament. During the following two days, the delegates are to be divided into 15 committees which will address issues concerning the European citizen, the EU's foreign relations and the security and cooperation of European peoples.
