    [01] THE CONDITION OF THE PRIME MINISTER'S HEALTH IS UNCHANGED

    The condition of Prime Minister Papandreou's health remains unchanged according to the latest medical bulletin issued at noon today by the Onasion Cardiology Center.

    The medical bulletin mentions that the condition of the Prime Minister's health remains unchanged since the medical bulletin that was issued last night. The patient's respiratory function is periodically supported by respirator and the renal function by artificial kidney.

    Also, it is mentioned that the Prime Minister has no fever and the treatment with antibiotics continues.

    [02] THE GREEK FOREIGN MINISTER WILL VISIT SOFIA TOMORROW

    Greek Foreign Minister Karolos Papoulias will be on a one-day visit in Sofia for the signing of two greek- bulgarian agreements of which one concerns the waters of River Nestos and the other concerns the establishment of three border crossings in the greek-bulgarian borders.

    As it was announced by the greek Foreign Ministry, starting today the agreement signed by Greece and Bulgaria on December 15th will be put into effect, which concerns the seasonal employment, for 3 to 6 months, of the bulgarian immigrants in Greece.

    Greek Foreign Ministry spokesman Kostas Bikas stated today that a bilateral agreement for the return of the bulgarian illegal immigrants to their country was also signed.

    Meanwhile, talks are being held today in the Merchant Marine Ministry building in Athens between delegations from Greece and New Yugoslavia for the easier transport of yugoslav goods through the Port of Thessaloniki.

    [03] EURO-DEPUTY MR.ALAVANOS MET WITH THE VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE SERB REPUBLIC IN BOSNIA

    Vice-president of the Serb Republic in Bosnia mr.Nikola Kolievic met today with Euro-Deputy Alekos Alavanos and discussed the political prospects that are being opened for Bosnia after the Dayton agreement and also the solution of the reconstruction problems in former Yugoslavia with the help of the European Union.

    Mr.Kolievic also thanked greek Euro-Deputies mr.Avgerinos, mr.Lambrias and mr.Alavanos for the significant initiatives they undertook aiming at sending humanitarian assistance to former Yugoslavia.

    Meanwhile, special screening of the film "Underground" directed by Emir Custurica will take place tonight in a movie theater in Athens and the money from the tickets that will be sold will be offered for the economic "adoption" of 500 orphans from Bosnia.

    The initiative belongs to the "Greek Karavan of Solidarity" and to its founders greek Euro-Deputies Alavanos, Lambrias and Avgerinos.

    [04] INTERNATIONAL INTEREST FOR THE SPELEOLOGICAL PARK IN THE REGION OF LUTRAKI IN PELLA

    The Universities in France and Austria expressed strong interest for palaeontological research in the speleological park in the region of Lutraki in Pella. Recently french palaeontologist J.P. Brugal had visited the region in the framework of scientists exchange between Greece and France.

    In the region's 14 caves have been discovered bones of Ursus Spelaeus, a bear that lived in the Alps and according to estimates the remains found are 110 thousand years old. Based on the findings, the bear was 3 meters high and weighed 2,5 tons. The excavations also unearthed stone tools that prove the region was inhabited since 7.000BC, while excavations continue in order to be determined if the region was inhabited and during the Palaeolithic Age.
