    [01] GREEK - FYROM MEMORANDUM SIGNED IN SCOPJE

    Greece and FYROM signed today in Scopje a memorandum on almost all suspending bilateral issues apart from the establishment of of the liaison offices in th twom countries which will be solved in a new round of negotiations in Athens next week.

    The talks, between the Foreign Ministry delegations from Greece and FYROM concerning the concrete measures included started on Tuesday, due to finish the day after but ther was a prolongment of the negotiatiosn and they were on the brink of failure before the agreement was finally signed.

    According to the FYROM state television, the talks continues as there should be agreement on issues included in the memorandum.

    [02] GREECE WILLING TO PARTICIPATE IN BOSNIA PEACEKEEPING FORCE

    Greece is willing to examine a request to participate in the peace-keeping forces to be deployed in Bosnia after a peaceful settlement is achieved, stated greek Defence Minister, mr Yerasimos Arsenis in Parliament today.

    Mr. Arsenis said that now the conditions are very different compared to 1993. He said that if a peace agreement is signed the climate will be very different given the fact that the involved parties must agree on the necessity of a peace-keeping force presence for the consolidation of peace in the region.

    [03] "GREEN CARD" TO BE APPLIED ON FOREIGNERS WORKING IN GREECE

    The measure of the "Green Card" will be applied on foreigners working in Greece, according to Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, mr.Stephanos Djoumakas speaking in the greek Parliament. He stated that soon a draft law will be tabled in Parliament setting the terms and the pre-conditions for the establishment of the "Green Card" measure.

    Mr.Djoumakas stated that according to the draft law, the "green card" holders will enjoy the same rights with the greek workers adding that by including about 500 thousand foreign workers in the greek social security system the country's social insurance funds will be relieved.

    [04] SPAIN'S DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER WILL VISIT CYPRUS

    Spain's Deputy Foreign Minister, responsible on European Union issues mr. Carlos Westenthorp will visit Cyprus on Monday.

    Mr. Westenthorp will have talks with the cypriot government in the framework of the dialogue between the European Union and the Cypriot Republic. The spanish deputy Foreign Minister had visited Cyprus again a month ago.
