    Prime-minister George Papandreou gives an interview at 21:00, on Monday, October, 25 to be aired live by all national broadcast television networks. Mr. Papandreou is expected to outline his intentions in view of local administration elections to be held on November, 7. In his recent public interventions , the Prime-minister has branded forthcoming elections as "confidence vote" to the government's major selections on the economy and structural changes and has posed the dilemma "salvation of the country or bankruptcy ". Government spokesman George Petalotis will be the coordinator at the interview and the panel will be comprised of seven journalists (also newscasters in television networks).

    Interest is centered on the Prime-minister's interview at 21:00 to be aired by all national broadcast television networks. Government spokesman George Petalotis has been assigned with the coordination of the interview.The interview will be also transmitted live by ERTonline (news.ert.gr) and state television channels NET and Prisma+.

    Reports say that journalists have agreed to focus on elections and economy. The journalists in the panel are the following: Olga Tremi (MEGA channel), Maria Houkli (ANT1), Aimilios Liatsos (STAR), Andreas Konstantatos ( ALTER), Antonis Sroiter ( ALPHA), Sia Kosoni (SKAI), Prokopis Doukas (NET).

    There will be two circles of questions (economy -elections) and each journalist is allowed to ask one question and one clarification question in each circle. There is neither time restriction for questions nor for answers while the Prime-minister is expected to pose again the dilemma "move ahead to salvation or go back to bankruptcy.

    Reactions

    Political parties have reacted to the Prime-minister's television interview maintaining that all political parties have the right of national broadcast television interview. Relevant decisions are expected this week after assessment of Mr. Papandreou interview.

    [02] Bank of Greece Interim Report on Tuesday

    Bank of Greece interim report, to be released on Tuesday, is expected to cite positive steps of Greece's economy but also suggest further structural reforms. Reports say that growth model suggested by the Bank of Greece should be based on investments and structural reforms to support production and competitive operation of markets.

    The Bank of Greece suggests faster pace regarding mergers of organizations and services which have no subject . The new model should observe protection of the environment and strengthen social cohesion.

    According to the same sources, the Bank of Greece has assessed that the growth model implemented so far is among others responsible for the present crisis.

    Bank of Greece governor, George Provopoulos will hand the interim report on monetary policy to the Parliament on Tuesday.
