    Monday, 13 September 2010 17:47

Opposition political parties strongly criticized Prime-minister G. Papandreou speech and Press interview in Thessaloniki on the occasion of the ITF. The main opposition leader A. Samaras, who will visit the International Thessaloniki Fair next weekend, blamed the Prime-minister for not having given solutions to citizenry problems while the ND party described his speech as an ideas -essay. Left wing parties also launched strong criticism.

    ND Strong Criticism

"Misleading ideas-essay" was ND party description of the Prime-minister's press interview in Thessaloniki. ND leader A. Samaras blamed the prime-minister from distancing himself from citizens. "Decision making and coordination is the role of the Prime-minister and not that of commentator and analyst. He is not near the people, he does not monitor their problems. And I am sorry, he has not given a substantial solution", stressed Mr. Samaras.

    Left Wing Parties Criticism

The GCP general secretary Aleca Papariga said "the prime-minister insisted that he would achieve change without taking political cost into account which means that he does not take people's problems into consideration". She also predicted anemic recovery which will bring a new financial crisis and underlined that recovery will find workers having lost their rights".

"Papandreou government, as the government spokesman has said a few months ago, could not guarantee anything. This is what the Prime-minister Sunday interview highlighted", said SYN president Alexis Tsipras on the sidelines of his visit to the ITF.

"Despite the Prime-minister's effort to give optimism messages, reality can not be beautified", commented the Democratic Renewal party.
