    Increase in holidaymakers exodus is expected this week end. The islands of Tinos and Paros where grand celebrations of Assumption of Virgin Mary Day take place, will attract crowds of people.

    Despite low level of tourism during summer months, there is an increase in holidaymakers exodus this weekend with ship passenger capacity approaching 100%. On Friday, August, 13, thirty-three ships are scheduled to leave from Piraeus port, 18 ships from Rafina port and 5 from Lavrio

    A patrol helicopter will be flying over the national road network to monitor traffic while special measures to facilitate motorists will be in force.Highway ban on heavy lorries will be in effect from 16:00-22:00 on Friday, August, 13 and from 16:00-23:00 on Sunday, August, 15.

    In air transport, 511 regular flights and 13 charter flights were scheduled for Thursday, and 547 regular flights and 8 charter flights for Friday.

    There is a forecast for high temperatures reaching 38C and 40C in some regions during the last exodus of summer vacationers.
