[01] Turkish Corvette Continued Its "Cruise" in the Aegean

A Turkish corvette is in the Aegean sailing within the framework of innocent passage. Having embarked from Izmir on Monday, it sailed north between the islands of Limnos and Imvros. It then sailed towards southern Aegean. It is now sailing south off the island of Folegandros. A Greek naval ship is monitoring its moves. While the Turkish corvette was between the islands of Ios and Santorini, the captain of the Greek ship informed the Turkish corvette that it was breaking the rules of innocent passage and called on the Turkish captain to stop the violation. Without answering, the Turkish corvette entered the international territorial waters.

[02] 3-Week-Long Ceiling on Fuel Price in 8 Prefectures

Authorities decided to impose a ceiling on fuel prices in eight prefectures. Starting as of Wednesday the ceiling will last for three weeks. The ceiling will be imposed in the prefectures of Fokida, Thesprotia, Preveza, Dodecanese, Chania, Rethymno and Lasithi, where extremely high fuel prices had been recorded in the past. The association of the petrol station owners expressed their objections.

"The government's decision to impose a ceiling on petrol station and leave prices in refineries go uncontrollable would equal to sheer absurdity and a major campaign to deceive consumers," protested the association of the petrol station owners.
