[01] Inner Cabinet to Discuss Taxation Draft-bill

The Inner Cabinet, chaired by Prime-minister G. Papandreou, meets on
Thursday afternoon to reach final decisions on taxation draft-bill.
Finance Minister, G. Papakonstantinou will brief PASOK deputies on the
regulations of the new taxation draft-bill this morning. Use of
cash-registers as of April, 1by free lance professional is considered
certain.
Rules embracing lawyers have not been clarified yet while doctors are
excluded from VAT due to EU regulation. Regarding property taxation,
size of house (square meters) and objective value are the criteria to
calculate taxes. New taxation draft-bill introduces significant
changes in taxation for first residence house, as tax relief for
singles goes to 100.000 objective value and for couples to 200.000.
