    Farmers are toughening their stand by increasing road blockades. Thessalia farmers are determined to cut the country in two by blocking side roads at Tembi. Since noon farmers have blocked railway line at Promahonas linking Greece with Europe.

    Farmers in Alamana, Elateia and Kastro Boiotia have decided to toughen their stand and closed side roads. Police have taken measures to facilitate motorists. Thessaly

    Thessalia farmers continue with a few hours road blockades on Monday and Tuesday as the national dialogue on the agriculture issue is in progress. They have decided to close highway junctions at Platykambos and Meluna from 11:00 to 16:00 and ask for a meeting with competent minister on Wednesday after the conclusion of the dialogue. Serres: Farmers closed railway line at border station

    The Non-Aligned Farmers Unions in Serres have closed the railway line at Promahonas border station linking Greece to Europe. Six train services 3 from each direction run every day. Since 13:00 Serres-Kavala old national road and all side roads are also closed. Egnatia road is blocked at Kerdilia and periodically at Brasnos junctions.

    Road blocks in Thessaloniki prefecture are: Malgara, Prasina Fanaria, Nea Halkidona toll stations and Liti junction. Farmers periodically open blocks at border crossings. Also Xanthi farmers unblock Nestos river old bridge every few hours to allow traffic to cross the bridge. In Epirus, Egoumenitsa port was open till 15:00.

    Greek farmers mobilizations is front page issue in Bulgaria's mass media due to the closing of Greek-Bulgarian borders. From Germany, where he is paying an official visit, Bulgarian Prime-minister Boiko Borisof in a telephone interview with television channel BNT said that Bulgaria was ready to assist in the resolution of the issue by withdrawing request to the EC for compensation due to damage from the closing of borders. The Bulgarian government would make the relevant steps only after official notification of the Greek government as it is Greece's domestic issue but it will insist on guarantees that there will be no closing of border stations.
