The international community has spoken, it is up to Iran now to respond, stressed Obama at a press conference in Pittsburg, where the G20 summit took place.

Russian President Dmitri Medvedev said in a statement that disclosure of the site is cause for "serious concern,â and urged Iran to cooperate with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) to resolve all concerns related to its nuclear program.

The British Foreign Secretary David Miliband, on his part, in his interview with BBC radio, said that the world powers are focusing on sorting out the problem in terms of diplomacy. He then went on to add that any reasonable person is concerned the prospect of military action against Iran over its nuclear ambitions.

[06] G20 Leaders Agreed on Balanced Development

    News

Acting in unison, the G20 leaders, who met in Pittsburg, committed themselves to building a new balanced global economic model and a coordinated effort to overhaul banking practices.

The world leaders decided to set constraints on executive pay at financial firms, impose tougher standards on banks and launch a process aimed at correcting economic imbalances.

At the same time, highlighting the shift of economic power to the booming economies, including those of China, India and Brazil, the G20 leaders agreed to have the organization turned into a forum discussing crucial economic affairs.

The above will result in G20 replacing G8, which was established in 1975 and includes the USA, France, Italy, Canada, Japan, German, Britain and Russia.

Thus, the role of the International Monetary Fund in the world economic governance was boosted, by increasing its powers to monitoring and coordinating the national policies.

Satisfied with the final communiqué, US President Barack Obama stressed that the G20 helped the world economy to recover.
