    LAOS president in his speech opening the works of his party's 4th regular congress âconcluding on Sunday with the election of the party's Central Committee- called for a rift and reversal of the corrupted establishment.

    Mr. Karatzaferis exercised strong criticism against the other political parties and spoke of such deep corruption in the ND that could not receive any treatment.

    He described PASOK as a vehicle driving with the hand brake up and its leader G. Papandreou not having sufficient skills to rule Greece but he can become a good manager for a north European country.

    Referring to the GCP he said that the party was one of the biggest businesses that Mrs. Papariga would have been written off if Lenin and Marx were alive. Regarding the Siemens case,LAOS president called for â purging nowâ, adding that on the course towards elections his party could not think of cooperating with any of the expressers of corruption.

    Regarding national issues, he maintained that both large political parties have committed crimes, adding that Greek people remember, judge and condemn.

    [02] Papariga on Immigration

    GCP two-day events at the Fix Square in Patissia centered on immigration opened with a speech by the party's general secretary Aleca Papariga. Mrs. Papariga addressed immigrant workers as âbrothersâ and vowed solidarity even if the GCP would pay a political and election cost. She said that the GCP would react to laws promoted by the government and called immigrants to an active participation. In an interview with the newspaper âEpenditiâ underlined the need for common action of Greeks and immigrants within the context of their legalization and protection measures for those who want to remain in Greece and provision of documents for those who want to go other EU member states.

    [03] 140 H1N1 Flu Cases in Greece

    There have been identified 140 H1N1 flu cases in Greece so far while 52 of them have fully recovered. A Health Ministry announcement said that the two last cases were identified on Saturday morning and regard two people who had returned recently from a trip to the United Kingdom. The announcement adds that 15 of the 16 American students -transferred to AHEPA hospital â have tested positive.

    Although the new flu has turned to a pandemic, the Health Ministry underlines that there is no reason for concern as all cases have mild symptoms.
