In the meantime, a second arrest warrant was issued against Christoforakos and sent to Germany. The new arrest warrant relates to the contract signed for the procurement of C41 security system.New Warrant against Christoforakos Magistrate Nikos Zagorianos issued a new arrest warrant against Michalis Christoforakos with regard to the contract signed for the procurement of the C41 security system in 2003. The warrant is expected to be sent to Germany. In the meantime, two top-ranking judges will depart for Munich to speed up the extradition procedures. Government Spokesman on Christoforakos' Case âI have no comments on matters under investigation,â said government spokesman Evangelos Antonaros, when asked to comment on information coming from Germany, whereby Christoforakos has CDs that can tarnish reputations. Antonaros reiterated the government's intention to see the case fully investigated. Tsoukatos Testifies on Wednesday Former Socialist lawmaker Theodoros Tsoukatos were given until Wednesday to testify. He has been charged with bribery and money laundering. Tsoukatos allegedly received one million marks from Siemens on behalf of his party. Exiting the magistrate's office, Tsoukatos said he would fight to prove the truth. Head of SYRIZA (Coalition of the Radical Left) Parliamentary Group Alekos Alavanos said on the matter: âThe government cannot play games with Christoforakos' extradition. Germany has to realize that this is a crucial matter to Greece's political life. I think that the government should freeze cooperation with Siemens.
