  • [01] Tsipras Apoligises for SYRIZA's Image

SYN head Alexis Tsipras dropped new hints, noting the leftists received blur messages from their leadership. He argued that the outcome of the European elections did not justify a devastating handling and he apologized for that. He expressed, though, his satisfaction over Alekos Alavanos' clarifying statement, whereby turning SYRIZA into a unified party is out of the question.

Addressing the journalists, he said: âPersonally, after two weeks of an unjustifiably devastating handling of an election result, which was not the best yet it was not devastating either, I feel the need to apologize to the people of Left, our party's members and friends for this behavior.

âSecondly, I want to stress that SYRIZA is not and will never turned into a unified party and it is pretty positive that there were clarifying statements on the matter. Our people have had enough with our choices. On the other hand, we will not allow SYRIZA to turn into an elite club.â
