  • [01] Panhellenic Exams Second Day

    Candidates for tertiary education are sitting second day of Pan-Hellenic exams. Students are tested on Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics Elements as well as General Education History depending on the studies they want to follow. Tests on special lessons commence on June, 27 and will last till July, 4. Questions and solutions of tests will be on ERT website www.ert.gr/exams and will be also broadcast by the state television channel NET at 15:45.

    [02] Quake 4.2 in Korinthos Gulf

    A quake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded at 01:40 Monday, 95km west of Athens. The epicenter of the quake was located in Xilocastro. There is no reason for concern according to seismologists.

    [03] String of Attacks in Athens

    A string of explosive attacks with gas canisters occurred late on Sunday evening. The attacks targeted a car dealer in Aharnon St., a weapons' shop in Sepolia and a private car in the northern suburb of Ag. Paraskevi. The explosions caused only material damages.

    [04] K. Karamanlis: âWe Go ahead with Responsibilityâ

    Prime-minister K. Karamanlis raised the question "responsibility or irresponsibility" during his speech at an open rally in Arta. Earlier he visited modernization projects in Neapolis, ancient Nikopolis and Arta ring road. "We go ahead following the road of responsibility compared against the main opposition party that nullifies all efforts of the government", he said characteristically.

    He described Epirus as energy hub with the natural gas pipeline crossing it, referred to Egnatia road whose works are about to conclude and to Ionia road. He said that these two roads will change Epirus. The Prime-minister called on people to vote in favour of the ND as it is the party that follows the road of Europe with confidence.
