New Start &High ExpectationsIn his inauguration address, the 44th US President Barrack Husein Obama promised to take immediate actions to deal with the financial crisis and make a new start in US relations with the rest of the world. Officially assuming his duties on Tuesday, the first African-American to be elected in the country's highest post, admitted that the challenges he had to face were many and serious but sent a message in and out of the US that his aim was to build and not to destroy, promising a change in US previous policies towards the Muslim world. Addressing over two million people, who have gathered in Washington to attend the inaugural ceremony, Obama among others attributed the financial crisis to irresponsibility and greediness of factors in the market. He will indeed take immediate action as he will discuss a support plan with his economic advisors today. Meanwhile, White House chief of staff Rham Emanuel memorandum calls federal services and ministries to halt regulations on pending cases until legal and political inspection is completed. It should be also mentioned that the newly elected President has ordered 4-month suspension of Guantanamo military court trials.
