In the meantime, the General Confederation of Greek Labor(GSEE) and the union of Civil Servants (ADEDY) have scheduled a protest demonstration on Friday.According to new state budget, growth is expected at 2.7% pace, fiscal deficit at 2% of GNP, public deficit at 91.45% of GNP and inflation rate at 3.5%. Real average salary will go up by 3.5% while unemployment rate is forecast approximately to 7.5% of the labor force. Regarding social policy, the government will take measures to support low-income groups within the framework of the national cohesion fund to be funded with some â¬450 million euros.Addressing an event organized by the Athens Industrialists Union (EBEA), Development Minister, Hristos Folias underlined the importance of positive attitude for the smooth operation of the market, stressing that panic would only cause damages. News item: 16804 [02] Students Took to the Streets againAthens and Thessaloniki Schools Coordinating Organs have decided to continue mobilizations of all forms in protest against the killing of 15 yo Alexis Grigoropoulos. They have scheduled to stage a demonstration at noon, in front of the Athens University (Propylaia) while PAME calls the youth to take part in a rally in Omonoia, on Wednesday afternoon. On its part, SYRIZA Parliamentary Group is to have an open meting-dialogue in the Parliament, at noon today with representatives of 15-member High School and Lyceum Councils. In the meantime, a bullet shell, handed to the police by a woman maintaining that she found it at Baltetsiou St., is being examined at the Police Crime laboratory to see whether it was fired by the special guard, charged with murder of the 15 yo student.Several University and Technical College departments as well as high schools and Lyceums across the country are under occupation.On Tuesday, 6 policemen were injured and three cars were destroyed when a group of 50 extremists covering their faces in hoods attacked Kaisariani Riot Police Station with Molotov bombs and stones.Incidents were also reported outside Thessaloniki Court House following release of verdict -prison sentence on suspension- issued against the 8 policemen charged with beating the Cypriot student, in November, 2006. Sources: ÍÅÔ 105.8, ÁNA-ÌPA News item: 16803 [03] Spanish Hotel Collapse Kills 4At least four construction workers were killed on Tuesday in the partial collapse of a 9-story hotel on Spain's Mediterranean island of Mallorca due to the heavy rainfalls in the last two days. Rescuers initially recovered the bodies of two workers and later found another two victims under the rubble of the Son Moll hotel, in Cala Rajada, summer resort in the east part of the island, mainly attracting German tourists. "The hotel as closed while remodelling work was being carried out", said spokesman of rescue crews. A local official, who asked not to be named, said that torrential rains - reportedly the heaviest in three decades - that have battered the island of Mallorca over the past 48 hours have been cited as a possible cause of the collapse. Extreme weather conditions have caused problems to the island's road network.
