The positive climate has also been attributed to the British government's decision to reduce the VAT by 2.5% in the next 13 months, as well as proceed to tax-cuts for low income earners. In parallel, the British government is planning to boost employment with public works. Besides, oil has been trading today at US$54 today. Presently light crude has been trading at US$53.75 per barrel in Asia.
