    U.S. President-elect Barack Obama gave his first post-election interview on Thursday to Ebony magazine, one of the oldest black-owned publications in the United States and based in his hometown of Chicago.In an interview to appear in its January 2009 issue, Obama spoke on issues including his historic election, international reaction to it and his hope to capitalize on the enthusiasm of millions of supporters, Ebony said in a statement.

    The son of a black father from Kenya and white mother from Kansas, Obama made history by winning the presidential election on November 4, an achievement seen as a breakthrough in U.S. race relations."I'm very humbled by the fact that I stand on the shoulders of all the people who made these incredible contributions to lift this country up," Obama was quoted as saying in the interview.Ebony is a unit of Johnson Publishing Company, headquartered in Chicago.

    Meanwhile, as per NBC, Senator Hillary Clinton may resume the post of Secretary of State in the new Obama administration.
