Crucial voting on a revised draft of a massive rescue package will be held at the US House of Representatives on Friday. In expectance of the House of Representatives decision, Asian Stock markets have recorded losses. Tokyo Nikkei index dropped 216.62 points (1.94%) to 10.938. 14 its lowest since May 2005 shortly after sharp drop -3.22% in Wall Street Dow Jones industrial index and -4.48% in Nasdaq. European stock markets also suffered losses up to -2.5% yesterday.

Worries grew that even if Washington agrees on the massive rescue package, it will not be enough to resolve deeper-rooted weakness. Tomorrows meeting in Paris of the 4 strongest EU economies and the Presidents of the EU Commission and European Central Bank will focus on the financial crisis.

In the meantime, light crude oil price is dropping to $93.45 per barrel in Asian markets this morning.

Vice-presidential candidates, Republican Sarah Palin and Democrat Joe Biden clashed on the economy and Iraq during a lively debate on Thursday and aimed the most criticism at their rivals at the top of the ticket. Biden accused McCain of being out of touch with what is happening in the US economy and Palin said the Democratic candidate Barack Obama "was too partisan to work across party lines to accomplish change". Biden pledged he and Obama would end the Iraq war. Obama is an early critic of the Iraq war who has called for a 16-month timeline to withdraw U.S. troops. "Your plan is a white flag of surrender," Palin told Biden. Evaluating communication results of the debate each party believes it has won impressions. At the same time, Republican White House candidate, John MacCain decided to put halt to his pre-election campaign in Michigan assessing that he has the least possibility to beat Obama in the state of Michigan.
