The ND-PASOK wrangling on Panagis Vourloumis future in the Organisation continues. The government believes political expediencies lie behind the attacks launched against the OTE Head. PASOK sees a connection between the Zorbas case and Siemens issue, with 14 of its MPs demanding an answer by the Minister of Economy to brief them on the support the Authority received by the government. From its side, the government reported that the legislative settlement was known, attributing the attack to political expediencies on behalf of PASOK. George Sourlas stressed that PASOK knew that the replacement would take place, since the necessary legal measures had been taken. PASOK alternate spokesman Maria Karaklioumi stated that the governments decision proves that it does not strive for an independent Justice, incorporating Zorbas ousting to that end. Finally, George Alogoskoufis supports openly the OTE Managing Director.
