[01] Eyes Fixed on the ESC Final!

After the successful completion of the second semi-final, all eyes are now fixed on the big ESC final on Saturday night.

Unfortunately, Cyprus with Evdokia Kadi singing "Femme Fatale" did not make it to the final.

The 10 finalists of the second semi-final are: Ukraine, Croatia, Albania, Iceland, Georgia, Denmark, Sweden, Latvia, Turkey and Portugal.

As you already know, the ten finalists of the first semi-final (Greece, Romania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Finland, Russia, Israel, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Poland, Norway), the ten finalists of the second semi-final, "big four" (Britain, France, Germany, Spain) and 2007 ESC winner Serbia will compete at the Saturday final.

The First Ever ESC Winner on Stage

Upon the opening of the night at the Belgrade Arena, an opera singer dressed in a long, green gown escorted by a man in white, who was half man and half horse, appeared on the stage. They were joined by four male dancers and four bass playing females in blue and white dresses.

Then it was the turn of this years ESC, Jovana Jankovi&#263; and &#381;eljko Joksimovi&#263;, to come on stage, with &#381;eljko offering Jovana a red apple, symbol of love and friendship.

In particular, the running order of the countries participating in the second semi-final was as follows:

Cyprus entrant Evdokia Kadi was the seventeenth contestant to appear on stage. Evdokia and her dancers did their best, performing their choreography in the most impeccable manner. During her performance, the Cypriot "Femme Fatale" climbed on a table, and then stepped on one of her dancers to come down.

After the introduction of the songs, the hosts called Lys Assia, the Swiss entrant that won the first ESC in 1965, on the stage to signal the beginning of the televoting.

It is reminded that only the ESC viewers living in one of the 19 competing countries, France, England and last years ESC winner Serbia were entitled to vote.

During the vote, the Serbian television broadcast videos of the Serbian countryside and cities.

As was the case in the first semi-final held on Tuesday, the finalist countries were announcement at random order. The televoting results are expected to come out on Saturdays final.

The theme of the second semi-final was the two rivers, Danube and Sava, that meet in the Serbian capital.
