    Traffic Police is on alert to facilitate the return of the Easter excursionists. At Maliakos on the Athens-Thessaloniki National Highway, more traffic lanes have been given to those coming back, while traffic policemen will be on alert to step up all necessary measures to facilitate traffic flow. Besides, trucks are not allowed to travel on Greeces national road networks from 3pm to 11pm. Furthermore, Traffic Police will conduct breathalyzer tests on all national road networks, as well as inside major urban cities.

    US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will be in Athens on Tuesday, in the context of her tour in the Balkans. The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the US Secretary of State will pay a working visit in Greece, during which she will hold talks with President of Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias, Prime Minister Kostas Karamanlis, FM Dora Bakoyannis and PASOK leader George Papandreou. The Cyprus issue, Turkeys bid for EU entry, the situation in Kosovo and the crisis triggered of by Irans nuclear programme are listed among the issues of her agenda. Mr Rice will also fly to Ankara and then to Sofia to attend a NATO Foreign Ministers Meeting scheduled for Thursday.

    It is noted that the UN Security Council's ultimatum to Iran to halt its nuclear programme expires on April 28.

    In their announcements, KKE and SYN Pesident Alekos Alavanos voiced their strong objections to Mr Rices visit in Athens terming her as unwanted. KKE has scheduled a street protest at Omonia Square for 6pm Monday and a march towards the US embassy at 10am Tuesday. At the same time, the Greek Social Forum will stage a street protest at Klafthmonos Square.
