A total of 25,000 part-time positions will be available in the public sector in the upcoming months and employers will be offered incentives to hire unemployed women with children. The government's aims to reduce unemployment to 6% by 2008 and 8% for women while, at the same time, increase employment on an annual basis by 1.5% and 2% for women. A U.N. spokeswoman in Geneva said foreign staff in Baghdad were leaving Iraq for talks on security, following Monday's bomb attack on the International Committee of the Red Cross which killed 12 people including two ICRC guards.In the meantime, an explosion shook Baghdad's old quarter late today, killing two people and triggering a large fire. Soon after, two bombs detonated in the north of the capital next to a U.S. military police patrol injuring two soldiers.
