Talks also covered EU security issues and referred to Iraq and the ME. Simitis said that talks had a positive outcome and agreement was reached on all issues discussed. Kostas Avramidis, a 42 year old civil engineer was arrested after his fingerprints matched those found on a book inside one of the group s two weapons dens raided by police last year. Avramidis , who denies any involvement in the terrorist organisation, is scheduled to testify tomorrow(23/5/2003 1:15:00 μμ) [04] New businesses outnumber those closing downIn reply to the high concern over the closure and relocation of Greek businesses, the government has repeatedly stressed that new businesses clearly outnumber those closing down keeping the unemployment balance firm.Finance and Labor ministers, Nikos Hristodoulakis and Dimitris Reppas respectively said that recent bankcruptcy and relocation of businesses would not overshadow labor rights while they both objected to salary reductions. They also announced incentives for businesses to absorb those laid off while the Labor Minister assured that they would continue having a social security and health insurance coverage until they find a new job.
