Greek Prime-minister, Kostas Simitis and EU President stated that the EU resolve on a common stance sends a message to Iraqui President Sadam Housein that it risks war as a last resort if it does not fully cooperate with U.N disarmament efforts and to Washington to put off plans for the use of military force .
