New Democracy Secretary of the Central Committee Vagelis Meimarakis said that his party would accept the proposal provided the march concludes at Parliament without any excesses. Synaspismos party leader Nikos Konstantopoulos spoke of a great popular intervention that will make it clear the Greece is against terrorism. Finally, in an interview with NET 105.8, New Democracy party MP expressed his disagreement with Mr Laliotis’ proposal because it undermines the commemoration of the uprising of the students of the National Technical School. According to information the European Committee is halting Turkey’s accession process because this country has only met 12 out of the 23 criteria demanded for the commencing of accession negotiations.
