    Unsettled weather with cloud, rain and storms is forecast in all parts of the country. Winds variable, moderate, turning strong at sea. In the north, temperatures will range from 15C to 26C; in the Ionian and on the rest of the mainland from 18C to 30C; and in the Aegean islands from 22C to 31C. Showers and storms are expected in Athens with temperatures between 22C and 29C. Same in Thessaloniki with temperatures from 20C to 26C.

    [02] Police sure about Papanastasiou&#8217;s involvement in "November 17"

    Press spokesman of the Greek Police Lefteris Economou stated yesterday that according to evidence, Nikos Papanastasiou, carrying the code name &#8220;Nikitas&#8221; appears to have been involved in terrorist actions of &#8220;November 17&#8221;.

    He appears to have participated in the assassination attempt of American sergeant Robert Judd, the assassination of publisher Nikos Mompheratos and his driver Panayiotis Rousetis, as well as in the robbery of the National Bank of Greece in Petralona, where police officer Christos Matis had been murdered.

    Papanastasiou is to give evidence on Monday at 1900 hours after judicial authorities agreed to his request for an extension to prepare his case.

    Meanwhile, from Kastoria Depupty Justice Minister Philippos Petsalnikos stated that democracy is taking all measures so that justice is dispensed and it does not torture people. The Minister was referring to the condition under which the suspects are detained.

    [03] Sessions of I.O.A begin in ancient Olympia

    The sessions of the 42nd meeting of the International Olympic Academy began in Ancient Olympia yesterday.

    IOC President Jacques Rogge declared open the sessions and hailed the latest developments on the uprooting of terrorism, a development that will secure safety for the 2004 Olympic Games.

    Present were Culture Minister, Evangelos Venizelos; the ATHENS 2004 President, Gianna Angelopoulos &#8211; Daskalaki; the President of the International Olympic Academy, Nikos Philaretos and hundreds of people from all over the world.
