  • [01] PM Tsipras' meeting with farmers will be held in " terms of representativeness"

The government will await all the farmers' demands to be submitted in order to arrange a meeting with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras "in terms of representativeness", Agriculture Minister Evangelos Apostolou said on Monday in statements outside the Parliament.

"I was just informed that another demand for a meeting with the prime minister was submitted," Apostolou said and added: "As you know there are also other demands and the fact that farmers react to the prime minister's call for dialogue is positive. We will wait for the other demands to be submitted, because we want this meeting, not only to be a representative one, but also efficient," he underlined.

[02] EU Commission will do its best to complete program's review, spokesman says

"The European Commission will do its best in order to achieve the rapid completion of the program's review. However, this does not only depend on us," European Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas said on Monday regarding the date of the institutions' representatives return in Athens.

He also said that the first round of the negotiations was "constructive" adding that "substantial progress was recorded in several issues."

He underlined that intensive work at technical level continue so that the heads of the institutions' representatives return "as soon as possible" in order to reach an agreement on a technical level in the coming weeks.
