[01] Jean Claude Juncker: We have reached an agreement
ANA/MPA---"We have reached an agreement, it was painful and long but we
made it" announced on Monday European Commission President Jean Claude
Juncker after the completion of the EU Summit on Greece in Brussels.
Juncker said that one of the key issues was the rebuilding of trust as
well as the work that must be done on many issues
[02] Chancellor Merkel: Partners are ready to discuss extension of the
debt repayment
ANA/MPA---German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Monday that the
partners' intention is to discuss the extension of the debt repayment
adding however, that the possibility of a debt haircut is 'out of the
question", in a press conference after the end of the EU Summit on Greece
[03] Francois Hollande: Tsipras made a brave choice
ANA/MPA---"Tsipras made a brave choice and the 80 bln euros financing
in the next years will offer to the country the possibility of growth,
stated French President Francois Hollande after the completion of the
EU Summit on Monday. "What started today is the negotiation in order
Greece to gain access to a new financing programme. Our aim is Greece
to become more competitive and to have growth because the debt will not
be sustainable without growth. Greece is a friend country and is in the
heart of the European culture. Our duty is to allow Greece to remain
in the eurozone" he said referring to the context of the agreement.
[04] Dijsselbloem: Monday's Eurogroup to focus on Greece's short-term
financing
ANA/MPA---The issue of Greece's short-term financing to meet its
international financing obligations is expected to be discussed in
Monday's Eurogroup, stated Eurogroup chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem on Monday.
Dijsselbloem also said that the disbursements will be carried out after
the voting of the prior actions as well as of the three-year programme
by the Greek parliament while other voting will be held and in other
national parliaments. When the latter procedures are completed, by the end
of the week, the Eurogroup will convene via teleconference, he clarified.
