ANA/MPA---"Lenders seek to apply the zero deficit clause, but the
government will table its cancellation," Alternate Minister for Social
Insurance Dimitris Stratoulis on Wednesday said in statements to ANT1 TV.
Stratoulis clarified that no agreement that would cancel the
government's program will be signed. "We will not make a step back in
the negotiation. Whatever we said in our policy statements are our red
lines and we do not retreat," he said.
However, Stratoulis estimated that the lenders will offer liquidity,
because "if we go to a rift, the repercussions will be worse for them."
