    ANA/MPA--Ecumenical Patriarch Vartholomeos in his message on Sunday for Easter noted that "despite the apparent technological progress of the human society, despite the declarations for human rights and for religious freedom, the religious and the racial hatred is increasing throughout the world and provokes dangerous tensions" said Vartholomeos adding that "Unfortunately, the people can't tolerate the diversity in other human beings. They can't accept the different racial origin, the different political, religious and social attitudes and beliefs" he concluded.

    [02] Three seriously injured by firecracker on Santorini

    An American tourist is being hospitalised at the intensive care unit of Venizelion Hospital of Heraklio (Crete). The woman was injured by a makeshift firecracker on Saturday during the Resurrection service on the island of Santorini. The woman underwent an abdominal surgery.

    Two more US citizens, a 50 year-old Greek were are seriously injured while two Cypriots and a 23 year old Greek were slightly injured.

    Two persons aged 34 and 23, were arrested on Sunday alleged to be responsible for the explosion.

    The suspects will be sent to Naxos island prosecutor.
