[01] Police operation to locate fugitive Xiros underway
Police's investigation to locate fugitive Christodoulos Xiros, member
of November 17 terror group, continued with raids in houses in Athens
and Thessaloniki, police sources said on Wednesday.
According to the same sources, police have searched Xiros' relatives
houses in Thessaloniki as well as houses of persons linked with the
anti-establishment area.
However, despite a pistol and bullets found in the house of an
anti-establisher at the Athens district of Exarhia, no more information
regarding the investigation has been revealed yet.
The search was part of an ongoing investigation to track down and
arrest fugitive convicted terrorist Christodoulos Xiros, who has been at
large since he failed to return to prison on January 6 from a week-long
furlough.
The investigation continues under Counter-terror unit's supervision
