  • [01] Gov't to allocate 51.5 mln euros for heating needs

    The government will allocate 51.5 million euros for the heating needs of hospitals and schools, as well as deposits for heating allowance, Alternate Finance Minister Christos Staikouras announced on Monday.

    More specifically, 10 million euros will be allocated to the Ministry of Health for the heating needs of public hospitals, 4 million euros will be allocated to the Interior Ministry for the needs of schools and 37.5 million euros will be allocated as deposits to people who are entitled to the subsidy.

    "Our constant goal is to promote the relief of vulnerable social groups in conditions of sound public finances," Staikouras noted.
