[01] Eurogroup chief Juncker due in Athens on August 22
AMNA/ Eurogroup president Jean-Claude Juncker will be in Athens in mid
August, AMNA sources said on Friday.
According to exclusive information, the Eurogroup chairman will visit
Greece on August 22. While in Athens, his schedule will be similar to
that followed by European Commission President Jose Manuel Barrosoon a
one-day visit on July 26.
Juncker will meet with Prime Minister Antonis Samaras at the Maximos
Mansion (government headquarters), two days before the premier's visit
to Paris and Berlin on August 24 and 25 where he will meet with French
President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Juncker's visit to Athens is characterized as very important due to the
present circumstances and taking under consideration that the European
Commission president had visited the country just a few weeks earlier.
