[01] Schauble: Greece must make progress on reforms
BERLIN (AMNA - F. Karaviti) In statements to German state television
ARD on Sunday, German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schauble stressed that
Greece will have to make progress on fiscal adjustment in order for
bailout plans to go ahead.
"Greece is having difficulty implementing the reforms but it must make
progress, otherwise the situation cannot be resolved," he underlined.
He noted that Berlin was not prepared to increase the sums to be given
to the European Stability Mechanism than those agreed at the European
Council in December and that, for the time being, the agreements for
the option to borrow 500 billion euro from the ESM applied.
