[01] FinMin meets with Troika chiefsANA-MPA/Finance minister Evangelos Venizelos met on Thursday morning with the heads of the European Commission (EC), European Central Bank (ECB) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) 'troika' for finalisation of the measures and interventions contained in the government's Medium-Term Fiscal Strategy Framework programme and its application law setting out the specific tax measures, denationalisations and structural changes.Venizelos will brief the ruling PASOK party's relevant parliamentary committee, which is already in session, before leaving in the afternoon for Brussels, where he will accompany prime minister George Papandreou for an EU summit.ana-mpa Parliament's Standing Committee on Economic Affairs will convene on Friday morning for the second reading of the Medium-Term programme, while the text of the programme's application law will be released to the political parties the same day, ahead of the relevant parliamentary debate and vote. A two-day debate on the Medium-Term programme opens Monday, ending on Tuesday with a vote in the parliament plenary. More details on the subscriber's page of ANA-MPA | Subscription request form [02] ASE opening: DeclineEquity prices were declining at the opening of trade on Thursday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index down 0.62 percent, standing at 1,263.55 points at 11:15 am, and turnover at 9.604 million euros.Individual sector indices were moving downward nearly across the board, with the biggest gains in Personal and Household Goods, up 1.47 percent; and Constructions, up 0.71 percent. The biggest losses were in Travel and Recreation, down 2.09 percent; Health, down 1.26 percent; and Food and Beverages, down 0.75 percent. The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 0.56 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 0.31 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 0.36 percent. Of the stocks traded, 21 were up, 29 were down, and 26 were unchanged.
